Casks for a Cause

I really wanted to post about this a few days ago, but I started a new job on Monday in Boston. Needless to say, it's been very draining and time consuming (it's added about an hour and a half to my daily commute), which I'm sure many of you can understand. Nevertheless, here are some details about a very, very kick ass event and noble cause!

This coming Saturday, our friends at Jack's Abby Brewing and the Framingham Tavern have teamed up for a fundraising event. They will be hosting the first ever Lager Cask Fundraiser Event to benefit One Mission, a childhood cancer foundation dedicated to enhancing the lives of pediatric cancer patients and their families. As you know, we are partial to events like this, which is why we are encouraging you to attend!

If you're like Sarah and I, you love a good/great cask beer! With that being said, if you like cask beer, you're definitely going to LOVE this event! There will be 12 cask beers in all, with contributions from not only Jack's Abby, but from Watch City Brewing, Haverhill Brewing Co (the Tap), Cape Ann Brewing, Notch Brewing, Harpoon, and Ipswich Ale Brewery.

So you're saying to yourself, "Damn...casks from so many awesome breweries. The ticket has to cost a fortune!" Well, fortunately for you, there is ZERO ticket price for this event - meaning, you can attend for free; however, you'll have to pay for what you drink. I mean, you have to be a lucky person to drink for free. The best part of all is that 100% of the proceeds go to One Mission, so it's a win-win situation here people!

Here are the very specific details:

Where: The Framingham Tavern - 102 Irving Street Framingham, MA
When: Saturday May 19th, 2012 from 4-7pm
Why: To benefit One Mission and help raise money for patients and their families in need

Please! We encourage you go to drink some great beer and support a great cause!

Cheers,
Adam
