Jack's Abby Brewing Looks Forward to 2013

Here's additional news on the Jack's Abby Brewing Co. expansion, and goals for 2013!

January 24, 2013 -- Framingham, MA -- After a busy 2012, Jack's Abby Brewing, an American craft brewer specializing in lagers, is expecting further growth and expansion in 2013.

In 2012, Jack's Abby:
-  Brewed approximately 2,500 bbls,
-  Won medals at the Great American Beer Festival and the Great International Beer Festival,
-  Introduced various positively reviewed seasonal and specialty lagers,
-  Hired five employees,
-  Expanded production capacity with new tanks and a bottling line.

“We had a great 2012 and we’re all looking forward to an even better 2013,” said Jack Hendler, owner and chief brewer at Jack’s Abby. "We expect more growth, new capacity, and more innovative lagers."

Jack's Abby expects to increase capacity from 3,500 bbls, to 5,500 bbls with the installation of new tanks this month. "It's a little too early to talk about future projects but we're beginning negotiations for extra space, expanding our barrel-aging program and installing a grain silo," he added.

"We're currently working on some special beer releases for the next few months," said Hendler. "We'll soon be introducing 4 packs of 'Private Rye' Bière de Garde, a warmish, fermented lager with Valley Malt rye and Belgian candy sugar. We'll also be releasing our Framinghammer Baltic Porter, as well as an entire 40 bbl batch of a bourbon barrel-aged version in March. Look out for a new Double IPL in the early spring."
